Studio Art Foundation has been a great class and a great experience for me. Not only is the work fun but it is also rewarding. I have not had an art class since high school and I didn't realize how much I have missed it. I will certainly miss the projects and the people. Hopefully art will stay a part of my life in some way.

The art show for our final project was a really great experience. It was awesome to see everybodies artwork displayed in one place. Everybody did a fantastic job and it was cool to see how everybodies themes came together when there were no constraints on what we were supposed to do. It was particularly interesting how my project was so similar to drew's. We both made maps of the world out of beverage containers. I did coke and he did various beers. Also, Drews was very large and mine was small.

For our last project before the independent project we were asked to mold three objects out of paper that we made ourselves. I chose to make a McDonalds value meal consisting of a drink Big Mac box and fries.

Quite possibly the most quintessential example of globabliztion is mcdonalds. McDonals are found in nearly every country on Earth. There is even a term called mcdonaldization which is pracitcally synonomus with globalization.

One of the downsides (or upsides) of globalization is outsourcing of jobs to places where companies can find people to do the same work for much less money. India and Mexico are great examples of places where jobs are outsourced.

This project of cardboard boxes made from scratch represents home. My addition to the project were the white boxes forming the circle. They represent the physical walls of a home, as well as continual growth, both growth of the person and growth of the home.
